How to double your leave in 2025!

You might be wondering when you last holiday was, or wanting to plan some more time for yourself and the family in the new year. So you book in a Holiday and use your full leave. But what if you could maximise weeks off with combining it with the public holidays already provided?

Less annual leave used, but more time with the family.

It’s a win-win!

We have curated a list of all states and territories holidays with our recommended days to take off. You’ll need to submit that leave fast if you want to beat your co-workers!

Queensland

January

  • Take leave on Jan 2-3 (2 days) to get 5 days off (Dec 30-Jan 3).

April

  • Take leave on April 22-24 (3 days) after Easter Monday (April 21) to get 10 days off (April 18-27).

May

  • Take leave on April 28th - May 2nd( 5 days) before Labour Day (May 5) to get 9 days off (May 3-11).

That’s a holiday of 18 days when combining leave and public holidays from April - May!)

August (Brisbane Only)

  • Take Leave 14th -15th August (2 days) after Ekka Show Day (13th August) to get 5 days off (August 13th - 17th)

October

  • Take leave on October 7th and 8th (2 days) after the King’s Birthday (October 6th) to get 5 days off (October 4th - 8th)
